Model or earthquake

Do you think that all the attention paid to models at something like NY's fashion week is undue in comparison to the other events around the world?

Should we pay more attention to models in NY fashion week than the earthquake in New Zealand. No. The New Zealand earthquake that hit Christchurch was devastating. How could a model just sit there and get make up put on and all the media’s attention is focused at her when there’s still people dying or trapped in rubble and it’s all been forgotten. Why should we focus on some girl who is famous when there are hundreds of girls shocked, scared or dead in New Zealand? If someone famous in Australia was hurt by a earthquake, let’s say she broke her arm, the paparazzi would swarm towards her when there are hundreds or even thousands of people have broken both their arms or legs or even cut off limbs. Everyone pays attention to them when there are people risking their lives to save someone else’s and they get nothing in return, but when a girl walks out onto stage wearing a dress, she gets thousands even millions of dollars.

So in conclusion, I would say that maybe if we paid more attention to what's important, we may be able to save hundreds of lives instead of saving one ladies career.
