Books or TV
Which is better, books or TV. I guess older people would say books rather than TV. That’s probably true, but younger people would say reading is boring and just watch TV. But I’d say they both advantages and disadvantages.
Books are one of the oldest entertainments since most people can remember. When people were board they would sit in a chair and read a book. Books can capture your imagination and explain things a lot clearer than TV or movies. When you read a book and then watch the movie, you’d say to yourself, ‘there is a lot that this movie missed out on’ or ‘the book was a lot better than the movie’. That’s probably true. But reading can also help you, read faster, read a lot more clearly, understand things better, educate you and exercise your brain.
TV on the other hand is a lot lazier. When TV came out rich only rich people could afford it, but as times changed, more and more people stopped reading. There are still thousands, or even millions of people who still read books or who have a book in there house, but there are probably just as much who have one or two TV’s in there house. As well as books, TV can educate you and entertain you with some decant shows or movies, but often for the younger generations theirs never really anything good on. TV can distract you from important things such as homework, school work and assignments but it can also help you.
So in conclusion for me I’d say I would watch TV but I’d rather sit down and read a good book on a school night.
